Hi there! A little about me: I’ve basically been designing since the days of stacking MS Paint windows to fake “layers”—long before I got my hands on a bootlegged Photoshop 7 or customized my Myspace profile with hacked-together HTML/CSS. Design and art have always been part of my DNA. I went to art school for a "New Media" degree (which, ironically, meant a lot of printmaking, black-and-white photography). Somehow, I turned all that into a career that’s lasted 15+ years and counting.

Originally from the Great Lakes, Great Times state of Michigan, I’ve called San Francisco home since 2009. When I’m not flexing my creative muscles, I try to be as far from a computer as possible—kayaking, hiking, wandering the city with my rescue pup and partner, or reading a physical book with my senior cat in my lap. I’m also always up for a margarita or oyster happy hour, and can’t resist a good travel adventure with friends or family.

And whether I’m building brands, designing digital or physical products, shooting photos, or finding creative workarounds with whatever tools are available, I believe a little scrappiness and a lot of curiosity go a long way in great design
